Central Indiana summers are warm, with July highs in the low 80s, and winters are cold enough for snow from December into March. If your pet dies at home during summer, move the body to a cool basement or air-conditioned room and use wrapped ice packs. In winter an attached garage can work for a day, but keep the body on a blanket rather than directly on concrete.

When is the hardest time of year to arrange a burial in Carmel?
